Pokémon X and Y meanwhile had file sizes of 1.7 GB. This is a step up from previous games. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire were 1.8 GB. Luckily, a 32 GB SD card can be found for $12 on Amazon.
You may want to get a larger SD card – 8 GB at least if you haven’t downloaded many files. That is a lot to download if you plan to get the games from the eShop. It’s nothing to sneeze at - it comes to 3.2 GB (26,215 blocks). The official Japanese website for Pokémon Sun and Moon has given us an estimate for the file size of the games.
